The live music showcase has been invited to The Big Apple to help shed light on Ireland's best folk and indie musicians.
In 2017, the original host of RTÉ's 90's music program No Disco, Donal Dineen, partnered with filmmaker Myles O'Reilly to build a project that would give important exposure to Ireland's folk and indie musicians. This project became web docuseries This Ain't No Disco.
The show has seen performances from the likes of John Francis Flynn, Rosie Carney, Caoimhín ó Raghallaigh, and Lankum.
In celebration of the second season, This Ain't No Disco have been invited Stateside, to The Irish Arts Centre, New York, to host special screenings of episodes one and two. These will be followed by a live performance from none other than Junior Brother, RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Award double-nominee and Irish Times' Best Irish Artist of 2019.
