Tulip, Cassidy and Jesse will be back for another installment.
American television network AMC has given the green light for the comic adaption Preacher to go ahead with work on a fourth season, it has been confirmed today. Based on the Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon comic series, the show stars Ruth Negga, Dominic Cooper and Joseph Gilgun, and is executive produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Caitlin.
AMC has confirmed that the season will consist of a further ten episodes, with filming set to commence in Australia early next year.
“Preacher is a show unlike any other on television. A passionate base of fans found their way to Jesse (Cooper), Tulip (Negga) and Cassidy (Gilgun) and have followed along with their adventures, at times indescribable adventures, for three seasons,” said David Madden, AMC's president of programming. “We are thankful to our partners at Sony and to Seth, Evan and Sam for everything they have brought to this series, which we are pleased to renew for a fourth season. Like the superfans of Preacher, we can’t wait to see where this journey leads next.”

Preacher follows the story of Jesse Custer, a preacher in a small town in Texas that is possessed by a supernatural creature. The third season aired in June, and left off with Jesse having returned home along with Tulip and Cassidy.
Ethiopian-Irish actress Negga can also be seen on the big screen this coming May, where she'll be starring alongside Brad Pitt in sci-fi film Ad Astra.
