The camp will provide girls and gender non-binary folk aged 12-17 with an immersive five days music experience
Running from June 25-29, Girls Rock Dublin provides a positive, non-competitive environment where 20 campers will get the opportunity to express themselves through a unique programme that combines music tuition, collaborative workshops and a refreshing DIY spirit.
Following two successful years of rock camps, GRD’s five-day event will be hosted in Sound Training College and Temple Lane Studios, premium Dublin music facilities. The camp is run by an all-woman team including musicians and music professionals active in the local independent music scene.
Girls Rock Dublin put a strong focus on diversity, encouraging young people from socially underrepresented groups to sign up, even offering ten scholarships to applicants from Direct Provision and low-income households.
Empowering self-esteem through music and performance, the volunteer-led organisation cultivates a supportive community of peers and mentors, encouraging social change and the development of life skills. It is a global movement which brings this positive impact to over 100 cities worldwide.
