Arcade Fire have announced their first album in three years, We, will be released this May.
Arcade Fire are slated to take part in a special livestream show in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 1. The Canadian rock outfit will play a live set in US phone company AT&T's "block party" event.
According to the event's organisers, fans will be able to "experience Arcade Fire from every angle with real-time, multi-camera views with the power of AT&T 56." King Princess and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band are slated to support.
Arcade Fire will take the stage at 8:30pm CT (3:30 am GMT). Find more information for the live-streamed gig here.
The indie-rock behemoths played a string of Ukrainian benefit gigs in New York earlier this month, where they previewed forthcoming tracks 'Age of Anxiety' and 'Age of Anxiety II (Rabbit Hole)'. They revealed the stint had raised $100,000 (€90,514) for the people of Ukraine.
The group have also announced that their sixth studio album, We, will be released on May 6 via Columbia. The outfit have been promising a new album since 2020, after celebrating the 10th anniversary of their 2010 album The Suburbs.

The Suburbs was released to widespread critical acclaim and commercial success. It won the 2011 Grammy for Album of the Year, the 2011 Juno Award for Album of the Year and the 2011 Brit Award for Best International Album. In 2013, Arcade Fire released their fourth album, Reflektor and scored the feature film Her – a project that earned them nods from The Academy in the Best Original Score category.
