Due to fresh Irish government restrictions, The Australian Pink Floyd Show are slated to perform two fully seated shows at 50% capacity on Tuesday, December 7th at the 3Olympia Theatre.
Doors for the first show will open 6pm and 9.30pm for the second show. The concert on Monday, 6th December will go ahead at full capacity. It marks the final night of gigs being able to make this choice.
Ticketholders have been contacted directly by Ticketmaster with the new arrangements, according to MCD.
The Australian Pink Floyd Show, more frequently referred to as the Australian Pink Floyd, is a Pink Floyd tribute band formed in 1988 in Adelaide, South Australia. Their live shows attempt to recreate the look, feel, and sound of Pink Floyd's later world tours, employing visual aids such as lasers, inflatables and a large display panel similar to Mr Screen. The tribute act continues to base itself around its three 'longest-serving' members: Steve Mac, Colin Wilson and Jason Sawford.
The Australian Pink Floyd Show's rescheduled All That You Feel World Tour is in motion, but the five-piece just has already announced another headline UK tour in October, November and December 2022.

Taking its name from the lyrics of ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ track ‘Eclipse’, The Australian Pink Floyd Show’s All That’s To Come tour will feature songs from every phase of Pink Floyd’s journey, from ‘Ummagumma’ to ‘The Division Bell’ and all points in between.
The tour is described as "reinforcing TAPFS’s dedication to the heritage of Barrett, Waters, Gilmour, Wright & Mason with a show that pays sincere and genuine tribute to the legendary Pink Floyd productions.
"State of the art lighting & video, pinpoint lasers, gargantuan inflatables and flawless live sound that was the benchmark of Pink Floyd shows, TAPFS guarantees to deliver a memorable live experience."
While the decision to limit theatres and venues to 50% capacity is hugely disruptive and will result in many gigs being cancelled, the decision to do two shows on Tuesday offers one possible model for enabling gigs to go ahead.
“It isn’t straight forward at all,” one industry insider told Hot Press. “For some singers, doing two gigs one after another just isn’t going to be possible. If you have to mind your voice at all, then doing two gigs is a no-no.”
There is also the difficulty in deciding how the tickets will be split between ticket holders.
“If the gig is at a level where Ticketmaster are involved, there is a decline in communication in place,” the source said. “And it still could be very messy. Most people want to go out at 8pm, because that’s when they can make a proper night out of it. But in some instances, it may be worth exploring. But it is hard to imagine that it would work for smaller gigs in venues that are also bars."
