In what promises to certainly be a unique event, The Button Factory is hosting a Barbie Dance Party on Friday 16th June.

The special club night, which looks to be the ultimate bash for all things Barbie, will celebrate the release of the highly anticipated upcoming Barbie movie.

In a post promoting the event, Paradime Events bragged that the night in the Button Factory will be "THE Barbie Party of the year", and said that "Kens are welcome too".

Paradime have also promised that there will be a Barbie photo booth, pink lighting, balloons, "and everything else Barbie you can think of as we celebrate the release of the highly anticipated new Barbie Movie!"

A mandated dress code of pink will be in place for the event, and the promoters have encouraged people to not forget their accessories – tiaras, sunglasses and all things Barbie.

A range of chart-topping hits is set to feature in the playlist from the night, from the many stars featuring in the Barbie movie soundtrack. The expansive tracklist features Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, Tame Impala, HAIM, PinkPantheress and Charli XCX.

The event gives barbie fans something to look forward to ahead of the long-awaited release of Barbie in cinemas on July 21st, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie as the titular toy.

The movie, like the track list, is star-studded, featuring Ryan Gosling as Barbie's toy counterpart Ken, as well as Will Ferrell, Helen Mirren, Emma Mackey, Michael Cera and Ireland's own Nicola Loughlan.

Tickets for the special club event will go on sale this Thursday June 1st at 10am , and can be purchased here.
