Currently receiving rave reviews for his turn in Killing Of A Sacred Deer, Barry Keoghan has bagged himself a coveted place on The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen Talent 2017 list.
The “series of stars and blockbuster breakouts who are shaking up the industry” include Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown, 13 Reason Why’s Katherine Langford, Ozark’s Julia Garner and The Get Down’s Mamoudou Athie who all have Netflix to thank for their big breaks.
Also on the list are Taylor Swift’s British beau Joe Alwyn who impresses in another of Nicole Kidman’s films, The Boy Erased; Timothée Chalamet who stars alongside Saoirse Ronan in Lady Bird; Nathalie Emmanuel who’s part of the Game Of Thrones success story; Lucas Hedges who, having made his big screen bow in Manchester By The Sea, has Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri upcoming; Caleb Landry Jones who was one of the many great things about the Twin Peaks reboot; and Kelly Marie Tran who has what director Rian Johnson says is the “biggest new part” in Star Wars: Last Of The Jedi.
Completing the list are Callum Turner (Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them); Amandla Stenberg (Everything Everything); Yara Shahidi (Black-ish); Naomi Scott (Power Rangers); Ashton Sanders (Moonlight); Charlie Plummer (All The Money In The World); Sasha Lane (American Honey), and Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out).
