Egyptian-American comedian Bassem Youssef has announced a headline show in the National Stadium, Dublin on 2 May, 2024 as part of his one-man The Middle Beast tour.
Previously named among Time Magazine’s ‘Most Influential’ list, Youssef has been awarded in the International Press Freedom Award by the CPJ, and was chosen by Foreign Policy magazine as one of the global thinkers during the same year.
Dubbed by some as “Jon Stewart of the Arab World”, the cardiac surgeon was the host of popular political satire show Al Bernameg – the first of its kind in the Middle East.
Originally a 5-minute show on YouTube, it became the first online-to-TV conversion in the region and the most-watched show across the Middle East with 30 million viewers every week.

Youssef became a further viral sensation towards the tail end of last year, after a string of interviews with English journalist Piers Morgan following the eruption of the Israel-Hamas war last October. The satirist caught the attention of many across the internet, in particular for his use of dark humour while addressing the history of the conflict.
Tickets for Bassem Youssef at the National Stadium start from €39.90 including booking fee on sale this Friday, 22nd March at 10am.
