Beyoncé was among many to pay tribute to the much loved musician, who passed away yesterday at the age of 83 in her home in Switzerland.
Beyoncé has paid tribute to Tina Turner, after it was announced yesterday evening that the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll has passed away at the age of 83.
Posted to her website, the Renaissance icon wrote: “My beloved queen. I love you endlessly. I’m so grateful for your inspiration, and all the ways you have paved the way”
Beyoncé continued: “You are strength and resilience. You are the epitome of power and passion. We are all so fortunate to have witnessed your kindness and beautiful spirit that will forever remain. Thank you for all you have done.”
Tina Turner and Beyoncé most famously performed together at the 2008 Grammy Awards, giving crowds a stunning duet of Turner's iconic 'Proud Mary'.

Beyoncé is currently in the middle of her Renaissance World Tour, so expect a big tribute performance soon. 'Juice' singer Lizzo covered Tina Turner's 'Proud Mary' while performing in Phoenix last night. Check it out here.
Mick Jagger, who performed with Turner during Live Aid in 1985, said via twitter, “I’m so saddened by the passing of my wonderful friend Tina Turner. She was truly an enormously talented performer and singer. I will never forget her.”
Tributes came from across the world, with big names from the music industry and beyond paying tribute to the superstar after her passing. The likes of Oprah Winfrey, Cher, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Bryan Adams, Magic Johnson, and Mariah Carey all paid homage to the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Closer to home, Irish artists such as CMAT paid tribute to the iconic singer (alongside the Irish Dad population).
i will never forget staying in my friends’ house in belmullet co mayo when i was 14 years old and finding a massive framed photo of tina turner on the wall as you first walk in the front door. i asked my friends dad why it was there and he said ‘what do you mean?’ . rest in peace
