New festival Beyond The Pale will take place at Glendalough Estate, Co. Wicklow from 10-12 June, 2022.
As a little treat ahead of the Easter weekend, Beyond The Pale have announced 10 more artists joining the line-up this June alongside previously announced acts Bonobo, Lisa Hannigan, Four Tet, Nealo, The Mary Wollopers, Soda Blonde, Toshin and more.
Critically acclaimed and recent Grammy award winner Arooj Aftab will make her Irish debut at the upcoming festival. Arooj is a Brooklyn-based Pakistani composer, songwriter and vocalist. Her seminal sound floats between classical minimalism and new age, Sufi devotional poetry and electronic trance, jazz structures and states of pure being. She is a mesmerising live performer, having released stunning album Vulture Prince in 2021.
Berlin-based act Kerala Dust (who sold out their debut Irish show at Lost Lane last month) bring their live show full of disparate influences of psychedelic rock, blues and techno rolled in to one.
Mad Professor will perform his dub reinterpretation of Massive Attack’s classic Mezzanine album. Having been asked by the band to perform this show as part of the day at London’s All Points East festival, this will be the first time this Massive Attack-endorsed show will be performed in Ireland.
