Actor Johnny Galecki has told of his heartbreak after losing his ranch as a result of a massive wildfire in California.
The 42-year-old actor, who plays Leonard Hofstadter in the smash hit sitcom, was thankfully not at home when the fire sadly destroyed his property on Tuesday night.
The "vicious fire" ate up over 1,600 acres in the San Luis Obispo area, which is about 200 miles north of Los Angeles.
But rather than focus on his own tragic loss, it's a clearly a measure of the man that he instead praised the firemen for "fighting the good fight to keep us safe" and spoke about how his "heart goes out" to others who also lost their family home or other proprties in the fire.
"My heart goes out to all in the area who are also experiencing loss from this vicious fire, the threat of which we live with constantly, which may seem crazy to some but we do so because living in our beautiful, rural area makes it worthwhile," Johnny Galecki said in a statement to TMZ.
"It's never the structures that create a community - it's the people. And if the people of Santa Margarita have taught me anything it's that, once the smoke has cleared, literally and figuratively, it's a time to reach out and rebuild. We've done it before, and will need to do it together again, and it will make our community even closer and stronger."
