Grammy-nominated American rock band Blink-182 released their new song 'Quarantine' on August 7th. Drummer Travis Barker explains – tongue firmly in cheek – that "the song was inspired by the quarantine and the crappy punk rock music we have loved to play since day one."

Hailed as timely and relevant, the angsty track is a reflection of the stress and anxiety of struggling to cope with isolation, and sees the band pair strong vocals with raucous guitar and explosive drums.

The accompanying music video was shot on an iPhone, contributing to its raw effect. On top of the footage of the band, a lyrical overlay was added, calling further attention to the intense emotion of the track. This haphazard visual collage of jagged edges and bold titles perfectly express what Mark Hoppus describes as "the sadness, confusion, anger and frustration we are all experiencing right now."

In addition to the new song, Blink-182 has garnered two MTV VMA nominations for "Best Rock" and" "Best Music Video From Home" for their video montage to their song 'Happy Days.'
