The limited edition charity beer curated by Blossoms and Goose Island will only have 1,000 packs.
In a collaboration with Goose Island Beer Company, indie-pop band Blossoms have announced the upcoming release of their new beer, 'SK BREW TAKE 2.' Marking their second collaboration with the Chicago-based brewery, all proceeds of the beer will go toward the Stagehand crew fund.
Blossoms, who hail from Manchester, have charmed audiences with their feel-good sound ever since their 2016 self-titled debut album. Their third, most recent LP, Foolish Loving Spaces, was released in 2020.
The band released their first collaboration with Goose Island, 'SK BREW,' for their headlining gig at London's 'Hop Party' in 2019. The forthcoming collaboration will benefit the Stagehand crew fund, which provides relief and support to live music crews who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Goose Island's UK head brewer, Andrew Walton, the beer is a 5.8% West Coast IPA. It has tropical flavours, and though they loved the original batch of SK BREW, they "wanted to dial up the flavours and really help the hops shine."
"This is a contemporary take on a west coast IPA with that classic colour and bitterness but with a more fruit forward spin," says Walton. "I think we managed to strike a great balance and this year's SK Brew is bold, flavourful, and highly drinkable."
