'Murder Most Foul' is a whopping 17-minute dissertation on the murder of JFK and other '60s landmarks
Hot Press is delighted to wake up to a new song from Bob Dylan, his first since way back in 2012. Redolent in some ways of the classic 'Hurricane', 'Murder Most Foul' is a 17-minute ballad about the 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy with The Beatles, The Who, Woodstock, Patsy Cline, Tom Dooley, Wolfman Jack, John Lee Hooker, Marilyn Monroe, Don Henley, Glenn Frey, 'Another Ones Bites The Dust', Stan Getz, Charlie Parker, Oscar Peterson, 'Cry Me A River', Buster Keaton, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Houdini, 'Lucille', The Birdman of Alcatraz, Play Misty For Me, Nature Boy, The Twilight Zone and Altamont all working their way into the narrative. And that really is just for namechecking starters...
We've been left somewhat underwhelmed by our recent live encounters with The Big Zim, but this is cracking stuff...
Greetings to my fans and followers with gratitude for all your support and loyalty across the years.
This is an unreleased song we recorded a while back that you might find interesting.
Stay safe, stay observant and may God be with you.
