The Woman In Me is available for preorder now at www.britneybook.com.
Britney Spears has announced on social media that her much-anticipated memoir The Woman In Me will be released on October 24 via Gallery Books.
“I worked my ass off for this book,” said Spears in a video posted to her twitter account yesterday. “ I had a lot of therapy to get this book done so you guys better like it”.
She also posted a teaser to the book which read “It’s coming…My story, on my terms at last”, before revealing the black and white cover art.
“The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey—and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history,” reads the book’s description on the Gallery Books website.
The subsidiary of Simon & Schuster secured the rights to the book despite interest from various publishers. While terms of the deal remain unreleased to the general public, rumours suggest that the agreement could be potentially worth up to $15million.

The book will be the first time that the pop superstar will publicly discuss her story since being released from 13-year conservatorship.
Despite continuing to perform, Spears had been living under a court-ordered conservatorship implemented by her father since 2007.
Fans began to speculate that the singer was being held against her will, leading to the emergence of the #FreeBritney movement.
In 2021, Spears told a judge that she was being forced to work by her conservators.
The conservatorship finally ended in April last year following a landmark court case in Los Angeles, giving Spears full control of her estate which is worth an estimated $60million.

Since then, she has collaborated with Elton John on the song ‘Hold Me Closer’, leading to false rumours that Spears would appear with Sir Elton at this year’s Glastonbury festival.
