A woman caller spoke to Gerry about being raped, but did not mention that her case was being heard in court at the time. The show was brought to the High Court, charged with contempt and fined £250. The case was allowed to proceed when the judge was satisfied the jury had not heard the broadcast.
The show has been asked to give evidence in a future English fraud case because details of some of the activities of the alleged fraud were aired on the show.
The show helped identify a couple who stayed in B&B's across the country without paying.
