Camille O’Sullivan makes a welcome return to 3Olympia Theatre on Saturday, 26th November 2022.
Irish musician, vocalist, and actress Camille O'Sullivan has announced a date at the 3Olympia Theatre Dublin.
The London-based artist enjoys an international reputation for her interpretations of the songs of Nick Cave, Brel, Waits, Bowie, Radiohead and more. Her headline gigs include Royal Festival Hall, Sydney Opera House, The Apollo, The Roundhouse, Barbican, Kennedy Centre and the National Concert Hall with the Symphony Orchestra.
O'Sullivan has appeared on Later with Jools Holland (BBC), where she was voted “one of the top 25 performances in the history of the programme" by the Daily Telegraph. As an actress, O'Sullivan has appeared in Rebellion (miniseries), and Pick Ups. After being spotted by Ewen Bremner (Spud from Trainspotting) in La Clique in The Famous Spiegeltent, O'Sullivan co-starred as the vaudeville star Jane in the film Mrs Henderson Presents, directed by Stephen Frears.
The role led her to act opposite Dame Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins. Herself and Will Young are also on the soundtrack to the movie. She has appeared on stage with Damien Rice, Jack L, Duke Special, Tim Robbins and Shane MacGowan. The productions 'La Fille Du Cirque','The Dark Angel' and 'Chameleon' were self-directed with the emphasis on inhabiting the character of each story, revealing different aspects emotionally dark and light, lending to the architect's chameleon-like quality on stage.
