There was never any denying there was on-screen chemistry between Princess Leia and Hans Solo in the first installment on the Star Wars franchise back in 1977 – but now in a new memoir to be published before Christmas, Carrie Fisher sensationally reveals that the sexual chemistry that was bubbling on-set spilled over into reality.
For the first time, Carrie Fisher reveals in “The Princess Diarist” memoir that when she was still only 19- or- 20-years-old she had an affair with the then much older and very much married Harrison Ford, who was in his mid-30s.
Carrie – who would go on to marry the legendary musician Paul Simon who wrote many seminal classics songs with his songwriting partner Garfunkel – very indiscreetly reveals in the book that she though at the time that Ford was a “bad kisser” and was even bad in between the sheets as a lover. But – in fairness to Harrison – she adds that she was “sexual inexperienced” at the time of the romance.
On the film set, the now 60-year Carrie confesses that she tried “relentlessly” to make Harrison fall in love with her. So much so that she even dreamed about him giving her an engagement ring with the words ‘Carrison’ inscribed on it.
The daughter of the legendary actress and singer Debbie Reynolds reveals that even she was shocked when Harrison eventually took a shinning to her. ““I looked over at Harrison. A hero’s face — a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow,” she writes. “How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?”
There had been rumors of an on-set affair for years. Carrie herself stroked the fire back in 2008 when she teasingly revealed that during the making of “Star Wars: A New Hope”, Harrison had once jumped out of her closet wearing nothing but a neck-tie – “naked”!
Princess Leia and Hans Solo famously shared an on-screen Kiss in the film's sequel, The Empire Strikes Back. But this is the first time she has fully publicly admitted to an actual on-set romance between them.
Soon after making the film, she went on to marry Paul Simon, but they divorced in 1983.

Simon even wrote a song about their 12-years "on/relationship" entitled 'She Moves On'. Here he is performing it live in 2011 in New York.
She will next appear as General Leia Organa - without her handsome Han Solo who was killed off in the last installment of the now Disney franchise - in Star Wars: Episode VIII due out December 15, 2017.
