The horror-thriller will begin production later this month.
The cast has been announced for The Winter Lake, an Irish horror-thriller penned by musician and screenwriter David Turpin.
The Winter Lake will be directed by Phil Sheerin (North) and will star Charlie Murphy (Peaky Blinders), Michael McElhatton (Game of Thrones), Emma Mackey (Sex Education) and Anson Boon (Blackbird). David Turpin previously wrote the script for the gothic horror The Lodgers and has released music, most recently the single ‘Kalikrates’, under The Late David Turpin.
The gothic coming of age tale, which will begin production later this month, revolves around a mother and son who make a disturbing discovery in a lake by their farm as the water lowers. They then form an alliance with a neighborhood girl and her father, revealing secrets in the process that will change their lives.
