Christy Moore returns to Dublin for a ten-date stint at Vicar Street. The great troubadour has also added a show in Killarney, just before St. Patrick's Day
The Irish folk legend Christy Moore has announced ten dates in Vicar Street, Dublin. The shows are being promoted by Aiken Promotions and will be solo dates.
Christy, who has been a leading light in Irish music since the beginning of the 1970s, is one of Ireland’s greatest performers, with a marvellous catalogue of great songs and records to his name.
The first of Christy Moore's Vicar Street mega-run takes place on Monday, December 9 and there’s a second show the following night, Wednesday December 10. This special Dublin run then continues that pattern with two gigs a week later (December 16 and 17). The Christmas break comes to an end with a brace of shows lined up on the Thursday and Friday of the first week in January (Jan 2 and 3); the remaining dates are as follows: Tues Jan 7 and Wed Jan 8; and Mon Jan 13 and Tues Jan 14.
Christy Moore has also announced a pre-St. Patrick’s Day bash on March 13 in the newly refurbished INEC, in Killarney.
But first there’s a string of dates in September and October, many of which are sold out, to complete.
