Kildare folk hero Christy Moore has announced an exclusive, intimate 120-person show at the Moat Theatre Naas on October 10th.
Kildare's Comeback music festival was curated to celebrating the county's finest talents, and the event simply wouldn't be the same without Moore's presence.
Mixing the traditional Irish folk sounds with the (then) emerging sounds of rock'n'roll, Christy Moore emerged in the late 1960s as a shining new voice in Irish music.
Since then, he has carved out an extremely consistent career both as a solo artist and with Planxty and Moving Hearts. Credited as a major influence on the likes of U2, The Pogues and Sinead O'Connor; Christy continues to tour and record and the dynamism of his performances, as demonstrated on his live albums Live in Dublin, At the Point: Live and Live at Vicar Street.
Christy joins Bell X1, Paddy Casey, Arlene Bailey, Amy Rowlett, Tebi Rex, JyellowL, Sive, Megan O’Neill over this festival feast of live music culture, hosted by MayKay.
