Barbenheimer fans, rejoice: the leads of the summer's twin movies will interview each other for this year's Actors on Actors interview series.

Irish actor and star of the Christopher Nolan epic Oppenheimer Cillian Murphy will be talking to Barbie's Margot Robbie. Their interview will be part of a series of 12, which will roll out daily starting on December 5th.

Other actor pairings this year include Ireland's Andrew Scott and Greta Lee, Paul Mescal and Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo and Halle Bailey and Rachel Zegler.

The Actors on Actors interview series began in 2014, and consists of some of the most anticipated interviews of each awards season. Each year it gathers some of the most hotly-tipped actors and pairs them together for an interview, in which they interview each other.

"Barbenheimer" is the internet-dubbed nickname for this summer's films Barbie and Oppenheimer. In an interesting move from the studios, the Greta Gerwig doll comedy and Nolan's nuclear epic both released in cinemas on the same day, resulting in the fourth-biggest weekend in cinema history, only behind massive Avengers films. Some Irish cinemas saw their busiest weekends ever, including Dublin's The Light House art-house cinema.

It was only a matter of time before the two leads were paired up, and it seems we're finally getting what we've all been waiting for.
