Robin Wright will take the helm when House of Cards returns for its sixth and final season this Autumn.
Following allegations of sexual harassment, which came to light in October 2017, Netflix cut all ties with previous lead casting member Kevin Spacey, with many people questioning what the future of the show would be.
In December, Netflix made the announcement that the show would continue for one more season, with eight episodes, and that Robin Wright would take the lead.
At the end of Season 5, the Underwoods tried to avoid being dogged by past crimes and scandals as they tightened their grip on the White House. The final episode saw Frank Underwood (Spacey) resign as President, handing the job over to his wife, who was Vice-President.
