The incredible dadness of Tim Kaine has captivated Twitter and the U S of A alike, and it seems two of our most loved late-night commentators are just as smitten.
John Oliver stopped by Stephen Colbert's Late Show to spend nearly seven minutes marveling at Kaine's peak dadness.
"I've never been wanted to be called scamp by someone as much as I have [by Tim Kaine]", said Oliver.
Colbert agreed that Kaine was America's cool stepdad.
Colbert also took the opportunity to show Oliver a clip from the Gilmore Girls revival, in which Lorelai Gilmore wonders if the Last Week Tonight show host would find her hot.
An initially perplexed Oliver used an extended metaphor to signal that he does.
