Anne Gildea returns to Ireland on her How To Get The Menopause And Enjoy It tour.
The Dublin-based comedian, Anne Gildea, is returning to Ireland for the third tour of her sell-out hit show How To Get The Menopause And Enjoy It. The Irish tour will run from March through December this year.
On tour with Gildea is preeminent menopause expert Dr. Louise Newson who will be present for the 35-date tour.

Gildea was a co-founder and creative performer with The Nualas, an Irish musical comedy trio. The group toured worldwide playing in places like The Royal Albert Hall in London as well as selling out a seven-week run at The Irish Arts Centre and many more worldwide.

They also had many international radio and TV appearances including a double headliner on BBC One TV’s Stand-Up Show, BBC’s Edinburgh Nights, The Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala and more.
For seven years, Gildea was a columnist for The Irish Mail on Sunday for ‘a wickedly funny take on modern Ireland’. She has written for other publications such as The Irish Times, Examiner, Independent, and The Irish Poet, London.
For her solo writing and comedy career, Gildea has headlined on five RTE TV series; X-it File (2 series), X-it Pole, The Gerry Ryan To-Night Show and The Dog’s Dinner. She has also been featured in the comedy-doc The Green, Green Grass Of Home and serio-doc No Laughing Matter which followed her treatment for breast cancer in 2011.
Gildea has headlined episodes of RTE’s The Liffey Laughs and a guest on The Late, Late Show. She has also published two books over the course of her career. The firsts in 2006 from O’Brien Press entitled Deadlines and Dickheads and then a memoir in 2013 from Hachette entitled I’ve Got Cancer What’s Your Excuse.
Her memoir inspired a feature film, The Bright Side, which premiered in cinemas in August of 2021 and then streamed on Amazon Prime from May 2022.
The HTGTM&EI tour will start on March 23 in Kilkenny at the Watergate Theatre. Over the course of 35 shows, Gildea will visit places such as London, Dublin, Edinburgh and Perth before the final show in Donegal on December 14.
