The Love Buzz will stop at Listowel, Galway, Cork, Dublin and Belfast on their upcoming 'Wild One' tour, which celebrates their new single of the same name.
FIFA Records have announced that Cork alt-rock trio The Love Buzz will be the latest addition to the label's roster.
Since its founding in 2005, Cork label ‘Forever In Financial Arrears’ or FIFA Records have worked with exciting new Irish talent (Fight Like Apes, One Morning in August, Klubber Lang, First Class & Coach, Driven Snow, Lorraine Nash) as well as releasing material from established names on the Irish indie scene. Names like The Frank & Walters, Emperor of Ice Cream, Cat Dowling, August Wells, Power of Dreams and Whipping Boy jump out.
In what is already a busy 2022 for the label - which will see further releases from many of its roster - The Love Buzz will be releasing their new single 'Wild One' on May 13th.
FIFA's Eddie Kiely stated, “We’ve been watching the guys for a while now and are really excited about working together. They will be an excellent addition to the label and we’re delighted to have them on board."
Formed in 2017, The Love Buzz have become purveyors of their own unique brand of alt rock. The three-piece are well known for their energetic live performances and have toured both the UK and Ireland, including a much-coveted tour support to The Darkness on their recent sojourn to Ireland.

The trio released their debut EP Candy Flip in 2019 and this was followed by the 2021 release of their widely acclaimed second EP, Here Comes the Scum. Featuring tracks like 'Sainsburys', 'Harp', 'Ellis Dee', '10 Spots' and the title track, The Love Buzz's recent EP built heavily on their 2019 debut.
Sharing their name with the first song Nirvana officially released – a cover of a Shocking Blue single – The Love Buzz have plenty of future plans (and hopefully future tours) up their sleeves. The outfit are heavily inspired by the likes of Pixies, The Flaming Lips, Fontaines D.C., Elvis Costello, Thee Oh Sees, The Garden, Sigue Sigue Sputnik and Stump - but The Love Buzz's sound is distinctively unique, matched with raw songwriting skills.
"We cannot say for sure when the next release will be but all I can say is it will come at the right time," Lynch told Hot Press last July, marking the premiere of 'Ellis Dee'. "The response from the Here Comes The Scum EP was unbelievable, so were busy at the music again but couldn't be more grateful to the love buzzers."
Kieran Hurley (vocals/guitar), Aidan Lynch (bass) and Henry Love (drums) are now looking forward to their forthcoming debut FIFA Records single, ‘Wild One’, and their forthcoming tour of the same name.
