Brothers Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn are behind the three-time RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Award winning band Ye Vagabonds. Their last album, The Hare's Lament, was widely acclaimed, with Hot Press' Colin Sheridan calling it "a record of extraordinary attention to detail and restraint."
Cormac Begley is a solo bass, baritone, treble and piccolo concertina player from a West-Kerry musical family. He plays in a range of collaborations with Liam O Connor, Rushad Eggleston, Liam Ó Maonlaí and Lisa O’Neill, and is the founder of the Airt Residential School and the award winning Tunes in the Church live concert series in Galway and Dublin.

CEO of Music Network Sharon Rollston said of the tour: “Even though they come from quite different musical backgrounds, Ye Vagabonds’ and Cormac Begley’s approach to music-making has a common thread. All three artists have an innate ability to explore and share music from our tradition in ways that feel fresh and new, and very relatable for audiences today. We’re confident they’ll each bring something unique to the collaboration resulting in the creation of ten very special performances. Weaving seamlessly between traditional and contemporary songs and tunes, this trio will remind us of just how precious live music is.”
