Corpse Party: Blood Drive
Hot on the heels of Farming Simulator 16 on PS Vita comes Corpse Party: Blood Drive, a game that sounds like a Swedish death metal band. This blood-caked little terror brings a dose of survival horror in time for Halloween.
According to the garbled back-story, a bunch of annoying Manga school-kids are paying the price for dabbling with witchcraft. Roam the corridors and rooms of a grotty school, which is full of red gloop and perilous traps.
The series, which started on PlayStation Portable, has graduated from a point and click format to 3D, but it’s about as scary as an Ed Sheeran acoustic set. Seeing big- eyed cartoon characters dying in horrible ways is more of a bad joke than a journey into the heart of darkness. For proper frights on PS Vita, check out indie game Lone Survivor.
