Officially launched in February 2018, Sheskin Smoked Salmon is the innovation of Fermanagh born Pat, and Canadian born Zoe Armitage. Having met at culinary college, Pat and Zoe gained heaps experience in the food and beverage industry, and even went on to own a successful restaurant in Belize for four years.
After building a wonderfully colourful CV, in 2014 the couple decided to put their entrepreneurial hats back on, and start a business that combined their love for food and creating.
Sheskin Smoked Salmon is the result of their desire to introduce a new take on smoked salmon to Ireland. Sheskin’s flagship creation is the mouth-watering candied salmon, a product native to the west coast of Canada. Using 100% organic salmon, Pat and Zoe’s brown sugar cure creates a finished product that is both savoury and sweet, while their use of alder in the smoking process gives a distinctly unique smokiness. Great on its own, the Sheskin Smoked Salmon goes with just about anything, including some of Ireland’s tastiest craft beers…
