The English rock band are the first confirmed for the award-winning EXIT festival in Serbia
After their date for Malahide Castle sold out in a matter of hours, The Cure will be headlining some of the biggest European music festivals next year in celebration of 40 years of groundbreaking work. Lead singer Robert Smith has personally selected the EXIT festival as one of their headline dates - voted twice as the Best Major European Festival in the last five years.
The festival will take place at the enchanting 18th-century Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia from 4th to 7th July 2019. EXIT showcases some of the most diverse music acts from rock to punk, hip-hop, and best electronic music. Past performances have been from acts such as The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Guns&Roses, Sex Pistols, Grace Jones, David Guetta, Migos, Snoop Dogg and Arcade Fire, just to name a few.
Known for their uncompromising attitude and the iconic band needs no introduction to Irish fans. With hits like "Friday I'm in Love", "Boys Don't Cry", and "Lovesong", the band have also influenced diverse talents across the globe such as Adele, Manic Street Preachers, Deftones, Massive Attack, Nine Inch Nails and Rihanna.
In what promises to be a magical live performance, The Cure will perform a headline concert on the 4th July at the EXIT festival. Tickets priced from €29 will go on sale on October 23rd. Four-day festival tickets are also available from €99.
