He once famously quipped that he'd rather slash his wrists than reprise the role of James Bond, but Daniel Craig has now officially confirmed that he will be getting suited and booted to play the British spy again.
The as-yet-untitled film will hit the cinema screens in 2019 and this will be Craig's last time playing Bond.
"I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note and I can't wait," Craig said.
While Craig has hinted in recent times that he would be willing to play James Bond again, he has now only officially announced it.
In an earlier interview, Craig had gone so far as to tell Magic FM that he would "love to do it" again, but was weighing up "personal decisions".
However, speaking on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night, Craig gave a definitive "yes" when asked straight out if we would see him in a tux again.
Craig says he "couldn't be happier" playing Bond again. But what about those famous last words of his insisting that he'd rather slit his wrists than play the hero once more?
"There's no point in making excuses about it but it was two days after I finished shooting the last movie," he said.
"I went into an interview and someone said, 'Would you do another one?' Instead of saying something with style and grace, I gave a really stupid answer."
