The follow-up to David Keenan's 'A Beginner's Guide To Bravery' was released last Friday, October 15th.
Louth singer-songwriter David Keenan has returned with his second album WHAT THEN?, with Hot Press celebrating the release with a special listening party tonight at 7pm.
Hosted through the Hot Press social media channels (Instagram, Facebook) - Keenan will be answering as many questions as he can about his brilliant new offering, while playing the vinyl from start to finish.
WHAT THEN? was recorded at Black Mountain Studios, and produced by Jonathon Mooney of indie-rock band Other Lives. The album details Keenan's dealings with the human condition, an imagining and re-imagining of what was, what is and his place in it all.
"Expect all types of weather on the hopeful road towards clarity," the poet and musician said.
Previewed singles from the project included 'What Then Cried Joe Soap', 'Bark' and 'Peter O'Toole's Drinking Stories'.

"Join me from 7pm tomorrow evening on the Hot Press socials for a WHAT THEN? listening party. I'll be spinning the vinyl at home and answering any album related questions you may have," David Keenan says.
"Keenan marked himself as different from the off," Hot Press writer Pat Carty says of Keenan. "Songs and ideas were falling out of him, and he was constantly moving forward. He was talking about this record while he was supposed to be doing the press for the first one. As soon as he could, he stepped away from the personnel that helped him realise that opening chapter, and headed somewhere else."
