Declan O'Rourke will also be playing tracks from 'Since Kyabram' album with his original band during a string of dates throughout the country in December (see below for further details).
How time flies. 'Since Kyabram' was first released almost 15 years ago, but has been out-of-print for a little while now due to industry-standard type complications with record companies.
But after years of negotiations and the odd battle, Declan O'Rourke finally bought the rights back from his old label.
D-Day, or should I say K-DAY is upon us!!
Haven't got my hands on a copy yet the lovely people at Warners sent me these pictures earlier. Can't believe it's almost 15 years since the first time I was waiting! Stay tuned for lotsa fun stuff. X

"Since Kyabram’ has been out of print and unavailable for a few years due to factors beyond my control, so I’m delighted to have found a way to make it accessible again," Declan O'Rourke tells Hot Press.
"I feel like it still stands up, and there’s a real nostalgia for it amongst my audience, but I hope re-releasing it means a new audience can discover it and share it too'. It was such a journey to hear it and see it with fresh eyes, and ears."
Declan O'Rourke adds, "Throughout the process, so many memories came flooding back and I just thought it would be nice to share some of them.
"That was the inspiration for the new liner notes and I had a lot of fun describing the build-up to, and the making of the record.
"Between the stories and the lyrics, it was hard to keep it all to a 20 page booklet! It’s also now available on vinyl for the first time, and one song has been re-mixed.
"I had a rehearsal with the band last week ahead of our up-coming December tour, and I just loved being inside the songs, and the music again."

The record is also available on vinyl for the first time, and the CD version has been re-packaged into a deluxe 6 panel digipak, that includes a 20 page booklet with lyrics, and new retrospective liner notes by the artist, giving insights into the recording of each song, and the build up to the making of the record.
