Comedian and ‘Dancing With the Stars’ finalist, Deirdre O’Kane has today announced a date for Dublin’s Vicar Street
After her glittering run on RTÉ’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’, Deirdre O’Kane will return to stand-up with a show at Dublin’s Vicar Street on April 4, 2019.
O’Kane has had a year of highs and lows. In August, she paid tribute to her father who died after a lengthy illness aged 80.
In an Instagram post, she said: “We laid my lovely Dad to rest yesterday…. Please raise a glass in his honor, he was a very good man!!! He was so talented… more than he knew, and was truly a classy guy. He was a cattle man who played the piano beautifully…. And he had the most beautiful hands that I have ever seen. As I said in the church… hands that no cattle man had the right to have!!! He loved a brandy, he loved Portugal, he loved jazz, he loved Seve, he loved Deano. He hated flies, cold plates, the sitting room door left open… and the banks. He loved his Rugby, his Gold, music, good food, but more than anything, he loved his family… he loved me. RIP John Okane… you were a giant amongst men and I was very proud to be your daughter. A round of applause please.”

She’ll be at her hilarious best in a straight-talking look at twelve frantic months in the life of a tango-tripping, family-minding, telly-making, house-moving, comedy dynamo. Tickets are priced €28 and will go on sale this Monday November 19 at 10am through www.ticketmaster.ie & usual ticket outlets nationwide.
