Ahead of a special UK headline show at The Social in Soho London on May 17th, Ireland’s breakout star Denise Chaila will join Ed Sheeran on his upcoming stadium tour in Ireland.

Kicking off on April 24th, fellow special guest Maisie Peters and Denise Chaila will embark on the 'Bad Habits' singer's sold-out ‘+-=÷x’ tour dates at Croke Park, Dublin; Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Cork, Thomond Park, Limerick and Boucher Road Playing Fields, Belfast.

Last week, Ed Sheeran won his UK High Court copyright case over his 2017 single, 'Shape Of You' – with Judge Antony Zacaroli ruling that Sheeran and his co-writers, Derry musician Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol and Steve Mac, had not plagiarised Sami Switch's 2015 song 'Oh Why'.

The announcement marks a huge landmark since acclaimed Limerick-based rapper Denise Chaila played their biggest show to date at Dublin's 3Olympia in November 2021, proving her world class talent as a live performer.

Hot Press' Peter O'Neill gave a live report of the event saying the "brilliant show" underlined Chaila's "supreme talents as a performer."

"When the music started, it was made evident straight away exactly why her audience continues to grow," O'Neill wrote. "Denise delivered a blistering set full of great songs; she engaged with the crowd like a veteran performer when she is anything but, highlighting why there's been such a fuss about her. Without a doubt, she is one of Ireland's best performing talents right now."

The upcoming dates follow the recent release of Denise Chaila’s EP It’s A Mixtape via narolane - a hip-hop tour de force of lyrical brilliance and artistic mastery.

This came after the release of Denise Chaila’s critically acclaimed EP Go Bravely in 2020 which was named RTÉ’s Choice Music Prize Album of the Year 2020. No stranger to an award, Denise most recently took home a 2022 Music Moves Europe Awards prize, further cementing her place as one of Ireland’s finest exports.

As well as a debut UK show at The Social next month, this year will also see Denise perform at a host of European festivals including Longitude, Deer Shed Festival, Electric Picnic, Valkhof and more - an abundance of opportunities for fans to see a global hip-hop star in the making.
