Van Outen, a West End star, and McGuinness, the 2015 winner of Strictly Come Dancing team up with Diana Vickers and Gary Wilmot for a musical spectacular that brings to life the much-loved film.
Brought to Ireland for the first time by producer Michael Rose, who has had multiple previous successes at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre with productions such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Elf, The Musical, his newest offering is set to entice Irish audiences for the festive season.
Michael Rose said: “I am so excited to bring this show to Dublin for the first time, it’s a universally appealing story peppered with beautiful songs, stunning sets, tremendous choreography and an all-star cast."
Big, the musical adaption of the the classic movie starring Tom Hanks, tells the story of Josh Baskin, a twelve year old boy who hates being little, until one night at the carnival the mysterious Zoltar machine grants his wish to be big. Trapped in an adult’s body and alone in New York, he innocently tries to find his way around a grown-up world where it’s all work and no play.

Big: The Musical will be playing the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from December 7 2016 to January 7 2017.
