The Dublin singer-songwriter topped four major categories in the Hotties 2020.
The results of our Readers' Poll are in – and are published in full in the new issue of Hot Press, out today! This year turned out to be our biggest poll ever, with over 26,000 voters participating in what is a vital barometer of the most influential people and sounds in Irish and international music.
As previously revealed, our cover star Hozier took home the coveted awards for Artist Of The Decade and Track Of The Decade for 'Take Me To Church'. However, the other big winner of the Readers' Poll was our September cover star, Dermot Kennedy – with the results confirming him to be Ireland's fastest rising star.
Following the release of his debut album, Without Fear, in October, there's been no stopping Kennedy's journey to world domination. The album proved a major international hit – charting all over Europe, and going No.1 in Ireland and the UK.
We can now reveal that the Dublin singer-songwriter is the worthy winner of an impressive four categories in the Hot Press Readers' Poll 2020. Kennedy's debut album earned him Irish Album and Debut Irish Album of 2020, while he also came out on top in Best Male and Best Track for 'Power Over Me'.
The results confirm what all of us at Hot Press have known for some time – Dermot Kennedy is poised for ocean-transcending international stardom. Catch him in action on these shores at Gleneagle INEC Arena, Killarney (June 1-3), St. Anne's Park, Dublin (5), Malahide Castle, Dublin (26) and Irish Independent Park, Cork (27).
