Ciaran Murtagh, the lighting engineer at Dolan's pub in County Limerick, has passed away. Limerick musicians, concert goers and industry professionals alike have paid tribute to the Dolan's mainstay on Facebook and Twitter.
Musician and Limerick native Emma Langford tweeted:
I know Blue Monday is bullshit but I've seen a lot of very genuine sadness and loss in the TL today, so I'm just trying to send all the strength and positivity I can out to people today ❤️
Limerick lost one of our musical community, so yeah. It's legitimately a sad moment here.

Dolan's owner Mick Dolan said on Facebook,
"Everyone in Dolans is absolutely heartbroken. Ciaran was part of our lives in so many ways that it is impossible to imagine Dolans without him. He was with us from the very beginning and shared his incredible expertise of the music business in a hugely generous way...I hope my friend you find a great big lighting rig in the sky and you will be able to make everyone around you look better and brighter as you always have done."
Murtagh was a consummate professional, and his loss will be felt deeply in the Irish music community.
