The album, her 53rd in a sparkling music career, will see appearances from an all-star cast from across the music industry, with names like Elton John, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Stevie Nicks all starring on the record.
Younger collaborators include Lizzo, as well Parton’s own goddaughter, Miley Cyrus, who she joins for a rendition of Cyrus’ iconic wrecking ball. Other artists featured include Pink, Sting, Chris Stapleton, Pat Benatar, Jon Fogerty, Debbie Harry, Sheryl Crow and Joan Jett.
Parton takes on iconic rock anthems such as We Are The Champions, Purple Rain and Stairway To Heaven. She sings alongside Elton John on Don’t let the sun go down on me, and joins the two living Beatles Paul and Ringo to sing Let it Be.

The album’s lead original track, World on Fire, releases Thursday 11th May on all streaming platforms. Speaking about the track online, Parton said she felt inspired to write it. “I think it speaks about everything and to everyone this day and time.”
