The 2018 Star Wars movie somehow seems less secretive than the 2017 Star Wars movie.
2018 is a while away, but that doesn't mean Disney and Lucasfilms haven't already mapped out their plans for the year. We've known for a while now that after Episode VIII, the next Star Wars project will be another anthology film, this time with the focus on Han Solo before he became a hero of the Rebellion.
Christopher Miller and Phil Lord will direct, and Lawrence and Jon Kasdan will script. Alden Ehrenreich will play the young Han Solo. All of that has been known for a while. The latest casting news is that Donald Glover will play a young Lando Calrissian. Glover has a pedigree of great film credits, including Troy Barnes on the hit comedy series Community, so the choice seems like a natural fit.

Lawrence Kasdan describes the movie as an origin story for Han Solo and Chewbacca, a character journey of how an idealistic youth became the cynical jerk we meet in the original Star Wars film.
