The video reimagines the territory as a luxurious resort, receiving push-back from Trump's supporters.
American President Donald Trump has faced backlash after sharing an AI-generated video of Gaza on his platform Truth Social.
The video depicts Trump sipping drinks with Benjamin Netanyahu, a golden statue of himself in Gaza, money raining down on Palestinian children and other reimagined portrayals of the war-torn territory. Billionaire Elon Musk, owner of X and leader of the Department of Government Efficiency, is also featured eating flatbread and walking as money continues falling from the sky.
This comes after Trump revealed interest in redeveloping the area.
“The US will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do a job with it too,” he said. “We’ll own it.”

Trump made a similar comment to reporters last month, saying “You’re talking about a million and a half people … we just clean out that whole thing.”
The video, which is now pinned on Trump’s Truth Social profile, also includes lyrics from what appears to be an AI-generated voice.
“Donald’s coming to set you free, bringing the light for all to see, no more tunnels, no more fear: Trump Gaza’s finally here,” it sang. “Trump Gaza’s shining bright, golden future, a brand new life. Feast and dance the deal is done, Trump Gaza number one.”
Many of the President’s followers took issue with the idolatry of the golden statue, the scene of Trump dancing with a bellydancer and the general tone of luxury in a place with over 46,000 civilian casualties.
“This feels all wrong and actually makes me sick. I have supported you since Day 1 but this is filth. There is no God in this,” commented one user under the post.
“Posting this demeans you as a human being, as the President of our country, and all of us the American people,” wrote another. “Moreover, it humiliates and degrades all the peoples of the Middle East. It’s shameful and depraved.”
Trump has made no comments regarding the controversy.
