Calling into the morning TV programme, Fox & Friends, on Wednesday, Trump tried to shrug off the superstar's endorsement of his political opponent, declaring he "was not a Taylor fan".
Donald Trump has warned Taylor Swift will "probably pay a price" for endorsing Kamala Harris following Tuesday night's presidential debate.
Trump called into Fox & Friends on Wednesday morning with the aim to shrug off the superstar's endorsement of his political opponent, declaring he "was not a Taylor fan".
"It was just a question of time," the former president told the show's hosts. "She's a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat. And she'll probably pay a price for it ...in the marketplace."
When Trump was initially asked for his reaction to the news that Swift had endorsed Harris in the immediate aftermath of the debate, he told CNN: "I have no idea".
Swift, a self-declared "childless cat lady", broke her silence on the election, taking to Instagram to voice her support for Harris, calling the Democratic candidate a "steady-handed, gifted leader".

"I'm voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them," Swift wrote in a lengthy Instagram post. "I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”

Until yesterday, the star had kept quiet on the subject, even as many of her fans started to organise under the banner "Swifties for Kamala", raising tens of thousands of dollars for the Harris-Walz campaign.
But the singer said that seeing AI-generated images of her falsely supporting Trump forced her to realise the importance for speaking out on the election.
The images were shared by Donald Trump in late August, falsely depicting Swift and her fans endorsing his campaign for president.
"It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation," she wrote. "It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth."

Shortly after Swift's endorsement, the Harris-Walz campaign announced pre-orders for its latest campaign wear: Swift fan-inspired friendship bracelets, souvenirs which became all the rage during the singer's ongoing blockbuster Eras Tour.
