The track acts as the lead single off of Galvo's upcoming debut album, The HeARTist.
Dublin folk artist Galvo has shared the music video for his new single, 'Getting Better', along with its accompanying music video. The track is the lead single off of The HeARTist, Galvo's debut album due to release 26 September.
The song is made up of acoustic guitar beneath soft, emotive vocals. It conveys a sense of optimism as it explores the idea of self-improvement, as the music finds inspiration in the sounds of artists like Elliott Smith and Sufjan Stevens.
The whimsical music video shows Galvo as a man cursed with tiny hands. He struggles with carrying out even simple tasks, until a deal with a shaman lands him with monstrously huge hands. It's a funny, poignant video that is meant to send a message of "the dangers of pursuing the extremes in life and learning to find comfort in who you are."
