The Dublin gig takes place next Wednesday, March 5.
Dublin poet Emmet O’Brien is set to bring his European tour The 27 Club back home next Wednesday, March 5 with a gig in The Workman’s Club.
After two February dates in Edinburgh and Cork, O’Brien will follow up his next show with stops in Margate (March 12), London (March 14), Paris (March 24) and finally Berlin (March 27).
He will be accompanied by special guests Harry Baker, Isabelle Dorta, Bradley Taylor and Cormac Fitz.
Bursting into the scene in March 2017, O’Brien has since then released three books, his poetry-videos The North Side and Dirty Dublin, and organised a number of events and workshops around the Irish capital.

O'Brien's third book, entitled The Illusion of Perception was released in March 2019 – that same month, a play adaptation was launched in Poetry Ireland, with the event selling out in less than 12 hours.
He has also played a number of festival slots, including the likes of Electric Picnic, Knockanstockan, Body & Soul, and All Together Now.
Most recently, O’Brien became the youngest poet to be inducted into the Writers in Prison list by The Arts Council, and continues to provide workshops in both Mountjoy and Cloverhill prison, with a focus on mental health aid, as well as opening conversations surrounding drug issues and rehabilitation through art.
Tickets for Emmet O’Brien’s Workman's gig sell for €10 and are available here.
