The building first opened as 'Dan Lowrey’s Star of Erin Music Hall', designed by John J. Callaghan, for Lowrey - who opened the doors for the first time in 1879. Lowrey's son Dan Lowrey Junior later took over the business. On 15th September 2021, Three Ireland announced a new partnership to become primary sponsor, which will run over an initial eight-year period.
