Founded seven years ago by Eoghan Desmond and Judith Lyons, the Dulciana Vocal Ensemble is a choir that is committed to performing the very best in upper voices music from across the ages.
Dulciana’s mission has been the promotion of music by female composers, both those neglected by history, and those currently making history. The first manifested itself in the form of a concert consisting entirely of music by female composers – five pieces written for Dulciana by composers based in Dublin, alongside music by Rebecca Clarke and Imogen Holst.
Members of the choir include composer, arranger, and violinist Éna Brennan (Dowry), as well as singer-songwriters Rachael Lavelle and Caoimhe Glynn (Reylta).
Doors open for the night at 7:45pm. Tickets are available here.
