The collection has already achieved great success in the UK with a revered public exhibition at Beano Studios in London.
Following the success of ‘Cassette Vs Vinyl,’ David Douglas of EBOW has announced the gallery’s third show once again in collaboration with Special’s bassist and artist Horace Panter. Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the beloved BEANO comic; the artwork is coming to Irish shores from September 6th in a month long Pop Art Exhibition.
To mark this unbelievable eight decade milestone, Pop Artist Panter has transported the notorious gang of iconic British comic characters into the worlds of Warhol, Lichtenstein and Hockney in a new collection of paintings and silkscreen prints that will see EBOW Gallery transformed into a Pop Art wonderland.

Speaking on the collaboration, artist Horace Panter said, “Growing up, the BEANO was always around; those characters were an integral part of my childhood… When punk rock came along it seemed like the Beano set to music! I’d like to think the paintings are funny and irreverent, but paying homage to both my favourite artists and to the comic characters. Hope you like them as much as I do. For me, it’s the ultimate labour of love.”
