The 24-hour Global Citizen Live broadcast will feature events and performances filmed across six continents.
Global Citizen has just announced the acts slated to perform at Global Citizen Live, a 24-hour global broadcast curated to unite the world to defend the planet and defeat poverty.
Highly-ancitipated live events will take place in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America on Saturday, September 25th.
The likes of Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, Christine and the Queens, Coldplay, Green Day, Lizzo, Lorde, Metallica have signed up to the international advocacy organisation's live show.
Other artists participating in the global special include: Adam Lambert, Andrea Bocelli, Angélique Kidjo, Billie Eilish, BTS, Burna Boy, Camila Cabello, Davido, Demi Lovato, DJ Snake, Doja Cat, Duran Duran, Femi Kuti, H.E.R., Hugh Jackman & Deborra-lee Furness, Keith Urban, Lang Lang, Metallica, Shawn Mendes, The Lumineers, The Weeknd, Tiwa Savage, Usher, with more to be announced.
The Global Citizen campaign calls on businesses and philanthropists to contribute resources needed to protect and restore at least 1 billion trees by 2022 to curb climate change; and provide meals for the more than 40 million people on the brink of starvation.
The 24-hour broadcast will air on ABC, ABC News Live, BBC, FX, iHeartRadio, Hulu, YouTube and Twitter.

Artists, activists, and world leaders will take the stage at iconic locations across the globe, including Central Park in New York City and the Champ de Mars in Paris. Live-crosses, hosted segments and performances will also occur in London, Los Angeles, Lagos, Rio de Janeiro, Seoul and Sydney.
Global Citizen Live is part of Global Citizen's overarching Recovery Plan for the World, a year-long campaign to help end COVID-19 by calling on governments, philanthropists, and the private sector for financial commitments to kickstart a global recovery.
