The festival has announced a brand-new area focused on bringing positive energy and joy to this year's festival, with a poetry performance from Imelda May, and tonnes of Irish musical talent.
If the lead-up to Electric Picnic has been giving you stress dreams, worry no longer: a new area designed to bring wellness and positive energy has just been announced.
The area, called Croí, will be right within the festival's Main Arena, hosting two music stages and a collection of venues, all with the intention of creating wellness and connection. Many exciting acts have been announced, including a poetry reading from Irish singer-songwriter Imelda May.
In the daytime, the area will feature events involving dance, music, and poetry, plus various movement-based and meditation-focused workshops. Then, as the night falls, festivalgoers are encouraged to recharge next to the area's firepit, dance to DJ sets, and more.
The Croí Stage is dedicated to showcasing Irish creativity, playing a wide range of music from all corners of the Irish music scene. From brass sections to bodhráns, rock bands to hip-hop MCs, this area gives a platform to a wide range of Irish musical acts.
The other main stage in the area will be the Crescent Earth Stage. By day, the Crescent Earth Stage will house high-energy dance workshops designed to revitalise. By night, it will turn to a series of nightlife acts, including Shampain, Naive Ted, Lolz, John Daly, Little O, Pablo Santo, Moving Still B2B Junior Spesh, Nkechi, Executive Steve, P Disconaut, Eliza B2B Maeve, Sectionfive, JWY, Tamen, Saturn Returns, and many more.
