Ennio Morricone has composed over 500 music scores for film and television including Once Upon A Time in America, A Fistful of Dollars, The Untouchables and The Mission, and holds the number 2 position in the ranking for the Top 200 best film soundtracks ever composed for his score in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
In 2016 Morricone collaborated with Quentin Tarantino and composed the score for The Hateful Eight, earning him his long-awaited Academy Award for Best Original Score, his sixth BAFTA Award for Best Film Music and his third Golden Globe for Best Original Score.
Now Ennio Morricone brings his 60 Years of Music World Tour back to Ireland.
Morricone has been playing the 60 Years of Music Tour to sold-out arenas across the world and receiving critical acclaim in the media, conducting his beloved concert scores live over the course of more than 50 concerts played in 35 European cities over the last few years, with more than 650,000 spectators since its start in 2016. He will bring the show to Dublin's 3Arena on February 15th 2019 with support from Portuguese singer Dulce Pontes as a special guest.
This concert in Dublin will be the very last time Maestro will bring his music to Ireland, after his previous concerts in September 2017 and February 2016.

Speaking of the tour Morricone said, "Performing my work live in all these different cities for people of so many different ages and cultural backgrounds is an incredibly gratifying experience".
“On this tour I perform a whole new program with new highlights. Of course there will always be the classic pieces from the great Sergio Leone westerns and The Mission. But overall the experience will be different this time. I plan to include music from my collaboration with Quentin Tarantino as well as a few works from the Leone Westerns that I have not included on previous tours. I will also have Dulce Pontes joining me on stage with her passionate vocals".
Tickets from €107 will go on sale on this Saturday 10th November at 9am - the day Morricone marks his 90th birthday.
